Hi, I'm Marcus
I am a passionate collector of antique Carte de Visite photographs. For me, the fascination lies in the details. I love to imagine how the photographer manipulated the light or what instructions were given to the sitters regarding their poses.
Furthermore, I am deeply drawn to the aesthetics of the 19th century - specifically the fashion, jewelry, and furniture design of the Victorian era. As my collection grew steadily over the years, I decided to create an online gallery to share these treasures with fellow enthusiasts.

Resolution
The scans were taken with a Canon EOS R5 camera and a Canon 100mm L macro lens.
Colors
The scans were calibrated using a color checker and white balance.
